Hope After Suicide Loss
The Beckett Health & Wellbeing Fund has enabled HOPE to continue its range of services for those bereaved by Suicide (Survivors). HOPE is the only established, open-ended, free of charge support service for survivors in Suffolk. Its fantastic work is summed up by this quote from a Survivor they supported “Nothing in my life has come anywhere close to the devastating loss of my son to suicide. The support from HOPE, is so compassionate, and free of time restraints, has been as immeasurable as the grief I have suffered in losing my son. Initially I was supported but now I am strong enough to support others.”
Second Chance Stroke Group- Bury St Edmunds

The group provides a vital role for stroke survivors in the community with its primary purpose to bring together individuals who require therapy and support. Many of the group’s members are severely disabled, and without the group’s assistance, they would be confined to their homes. The funding of specialist transport costs offers a lifeline to survivors allowing them to attend the group’s meetings each week for support and therapeutic activities.
